Because laws vary from State to State with respect to the use of our Old, Vintage and Antique License Plates on a vehicle, we always recommend that you contact your local DMV office to confirm that you can use the plate(s) for this prior to your purchase. In Maryland, running an old license plate on your vehicle is allowed. You would register the vehicle as being either "Historic" which is 20 years old and older; or as a "Street Rod" which is at least 25 years old. YOM or Year of Manufacture license plates require DMV approval.
